You can't get in beween 12pm and 4pm you need the code the whole hotel is like a prison. Does not help when you arrrive at 2pm. Worst bed I have ever experienced in a hotel - it was like a double put me up. You could not sleep on it as every time you moved the spring creaked and woke you. This was the same for both families. Would never consider going to the hotel again which is a shame as the room was a reasonable size. Carcasone is a must though to visit and we will retrn at some point.
Cheerful and efficient staff. Spacious comfortable self-serviced apartment, good winter price. Very close to historic centre, secure parking available after checkout.
Friendly staff, good accommodation, nice pool & steamer, 5 mins from the castle. Great!
Poor signs on hotel made it difficult to find
Location - very close to La Cite but quietly situated. Good value for money.
Little storage space for clothes other than what could be placed on hangers. Also, the separate toilet (no washhand basin) was a long way away from the bathroom in the appartment.
It was within easy access of the city and spacious accomodation, very comfortable.
Everything was perfect for me, so much so that I kept on saying it and I wish you had more of these across France.........I took your brochure so that I will check your hotels first before booking others!
The room was very large, the hotel was very close to the old city of Carcassonne.
The bathroom had no towel rails, hooks or shelves to put clothing & other items on to keep them dry from the shower. The bed had a fence around half of it. You had to jump over the fence to get into bed, and then were trapped there until your partner decided to wake up. Why??? The hotel was hard to find, and the sign does not mention the name Clos de la cite.
Hotel is more apartments then hotel. The apartments are large and spacious. A little sparse, but very functional. The kids had space to get toys out and hang out in th emorning. There was a nice pool for the kids. Everything was very clean and well maintained. The staff were very helpful and supportive when we had to contact the rental car company for a problem with our rental car.
Reception is only staffed at breakfast and check in time (16-20h) and you can only use the wifi in the reception area when it is open.
Location is really good, just 5 to 10 minutes walk from hotel to Castle.
We were alocated room on the corner in october there was no point to open air con so we open the window, street side can be quite noisy. Apart fro that, all fine.
Our apartment was very clean and well equipped. Didn't get chance to use the pool but it looked very nice. Close to the old and new city - thoroughly enjoyed our visit.
Reception doesn't open until 4pm, we arrived at 3.30pm and had to wait outside - it was raining. If we could have left our luggage or been able to wait inside until check in time this would have been good.
The room was spacious and clean, and the location excellent for visiting La Cite. Extremely good value for money.
The kitchen appliances were limited and the desk staff couldn't provide a map of the city.
It's proximity to La Cite was excellent. Great Boulangerie across the road. Pool good to relax in at the end of the day.
The hotel grounds had excellent security and the checking in and out process was simple.
The hotel is different, we stayed in the old part of the hotel. Our room was located in original old French villa. The room was situated on two floors and consisted of a kitchen, dinning room / lounge, large bedroom and bathroom. Every door / window ( 7 of them ),was fitted with traditional shutters. We found the rooms to be clean and adequately furnished. The strange thing was that the reception was closed between 12.00 and 4 o’clock. This means that you cannot get into the hotel car park until the reception open because you need a ‘pin number’ from reception to get in the car park. Therefore at 4 o’clock there is a big rush and then subsequent queue to book into the hotel. The location is excellent to visit the medieval ‘cite’ of Carcassonne. The only down side was that our room was situated alongside a busy / noisy main road. In summary:- good location, good parking, noisy, large clean room when you finally managed to check in.
Ideal location for visiting the medieval city.
The hotel is very convenient for walking to the old city of Carcassonne- 10 minutes max. It was clean and there was plenty of room for 5 of us in 1 apartment. The lady on reception was helpful. there was plenty of parking. There is nothing special about this place . it was a convenient stop for visiting the city and also accessible for the airport early the next morning.
The checking in times are not very flexible. We arrived at 2,30 and had to wait until 4 to check in. If we had arrived after 8 we may have had problems having read previous reviews. It was serviceable but with little charm.
